1. Lifting and lying gate is a kind of plane gate moving along arc track. When the gate is closed, the gate stands upright to block water. When the gate is opened, the gate first rises a section of water, then rolls (upstream or downstream) on the upper side. When the gate is fully opened, the gate lies on the top of the pier. Horizontal planar gate has the advantages of both planar straight gate and arc gate. It makes planar gate move arc on arc track. It is suitable for simple ship lock. Together, it can greatly reduce the installation height of hoist, thus improving the seismic ability of hydraulic structures and reducing the cost of construction. Its defect is rolling downstream lifting door, its hoist and hanger invade water for a long time and are easy to corrode; secondly, the maintenance and protection of this gate is not convenient.
2. When the door is opened, the gate blade increases from straight to horizontal. The main rail subjected to water pressure is divided into three sections from bottom to top, namely, dividend straight rail, arc rail and oblique rail. The reverse rail is all straight rail. The gate hanging point is located at the bottom of the gate near the upper surface of the lower main beam. When the gate opens, the upper and lower main wheels will roll away from the arc track and the reverse track, and the gate keeps rising, eventually lying on the inclined track. The advantages are that the height of the gate bridge can be reduced, the wind area of the gate blade can be reduced and the seismic function can be improved, but the side water stop wear of the gate blade is serious. It is suitable for low head hydraulic structures in earthquake area or tsunami storm area.
There is no inverted horizontal gate, as long as the flip gate and the underlying gate.
At present, the most widely used turning gate is hydraulic automatic turning gate. Its working principle is lever balance and rolling. Specifically, hydraulic automatic turning gate uses hydraulic force and gate weight to balance each other and adds damping feedback system to achieve the purpose of regulating water level: when the upstream water level rises, the gate will be wound around.“ On the contrary, when the upstream water level drops, the gate will gradually close and store water, so that the upstream water level will remain within the planning requirements.
The horizontal gate is a new type of gate which can roll around the rolling axis installed on the bottom of the chamber to meet the requirements of different water level and flow control. The hydraulic hoist system installed on both sides of the pier is adopted for the opening and closing of the gate. The pipeline system can be either through the corridor at the bottom of the channel or through the upper bridge deck system. The upper part does not need a separate supporting structure, so it is easy to be in harmony with the surrounding environment.
